Steve has been a leader in the social change arena for more than two decades. He founded and ran Live Green, a social enterprise focused on building a new, thriving green economy. Steve also held senior positions at AARP, directed campaign offices for the Sierra Club and the state PIRGs, coordinated an environmental petition drive which generated 1.2 million physical signatures, and helped to bring about the passage of several environmental, good government, and health policies. In 2001, Asianweek named Steve their Asian American of the Year for his innovative work to reduce the influence of big money in politics.
Eli has a decade of experience building social enterprises and developing market-based revenue streams to sustain non-profit organizations. In 2006, Eli co-founded Transterra Media and served as its Managing Director for eight years, building a successful media marketplace that allowed locally-produced narratives to disrupt the way the world news is told in broadcast and print media. As a consultant in the non-profit and private sectors, Eli’s roles have ranged from helping to develop an automated test of Arabic language based on speech recognition technology (Pearson Knowledge Technologies) to leading a refugee resettlement program for FEGS Health and Human services in New York.
Darrell Scott joined the Accelerate Change team in June 2012. Prior to joining the team, Darrell was a Fellow with the Z. Smith Reynolds Foundation in North Carolina. While there, he helped further social justice grantmaking, coordinated its Nonprofit Internship Program, and worked on the racial equity capacity building team. A native of Little Rock, AR, he graduated from Davidson College in 2010 with honors in Sociology and an Ethnic Studies Concentration. For his commitment to public service, Darrell received the Harry S. Truman Scholarship in 2009.
Milo Keller received his BA from the University of Mary Washington in May 2011. After interning at the National Center for Transgender Equality, he was the first person hired for Accelerate Change. Milo also runs a genderqueer support group in DC, and is dedicated to fighting for trans-inclusive healthcare.

Peter Murray has fifteen years of experience leading and supporting social ventures and nonprofits. Mr. Murray was the founder and president of the Empowerment Group, a business incubator and entrepreneurship training center in Philadelphia. For eight years, Mr. Murray was President of the Center for Progressive Leadership, a national training institute for nonprofit and civic leaders that has trained and mentored over 6,000 promising nonprofit and civic leaders.
Peter was also co-founder and executive vice president of the I Do Foundation, a national social justice foundation, and CEO of Image Contractors, a community-based construction company in Philadelphia. For his leadership in the nonprofit sector, Peter received the Eli Segal Entrepreneurship Award, the Eugene Lang Community Service Award, and was selected for Fast Company Magazine’s 2002 “Fast 50,” which honors 50 leaders from around the world who are reshaping their sectors.
